French luxury titan LVMH on Thursday named a new boss for watchmaker TAG Heuer, a brand previously led by a son of LVMH founder and chief executive Bernard Arnault.

Beatrice Goasglas, an executive who joined the Swiss watch brand in 2018 and has served in various roles, will become CEO as of May 1, said Stephane Bianchi, CEO of LVMH's watches & jewelry division. TAG Heuer is a prominent watchmaker in the division, alongside the likes of Zenith and Hublot. The division also houses jewelers Tiffany and Bulgari, and made revenue of around 10.5 billion euros ($12.15 billion) last year.

"[Goasglas's] deep knowledge of the brand, combined with her leadership and unparalleled commitment, will enable TAG Heuer to reach new heights and to continue embodying the very highest watchmaking quality and the avant-garde spirit so dear to the Maison," Bianchi said in a release.

Frederic Arnault, a son of LVMH's billionaire boss, was the boss of TAG Heuer until 2024 before taking the reins of the watches group as a whole. He now leads fashion house Loro Piana. Bernard Arnault has also placed his other four children in top leadership positions in the sprawling conglomerate, sparking speculation over who will one day succeed him in the top job at the world's largest luxury group.
