Danish transport and logistics giant Maersk is maintaining its suspension of traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, citing a persistently volatile security situation.

The shipping group described the environment as 'highly dynamic' and stated that 'full maritime security cannot be guaranteed'.

The company noted that volatility remains high and that transits through the strait should be avoided for the time being, in coordination with security partners.

Maersk simultaneously welcomed U.S. initiatives regarding vessels in the region, emphasizing that freedom of navigation must be restored.

Any further measures taken by the U.S. will be factored into the company's ongoing security assessments.
