On a sectoral basis, technology is performing best, up 0.96 percent, while consumer goods follow as the second-best performer, up 0.83 percent.
The weakest performance is seen in construction & materials, down 1.19 percent, while chemicals are noted as the second weakest, down 1.13 percent.
Danish pharmaceutical company Zealand Pharma fell 23.2 percent on the exchange after detailed Phase 3 data for the obesity drug survodutide, developed in collaboration with Boehringer Ingelheim, raised concerns regarding side effects and a high rate of patient discontinuation.
Norwegian defense firm Kongsberg Gruppen has signed a contract with the U.S. Air Force for additional deliveries of Joint Strike Missiles (JSM). The order is valued at approximately NOK 2.7 billion, with deliveries expected to be completed by the end of 2029. The stock was up 1.5 percent.
Brewing giant Carlsberg is preparing an application for an initial public offering of its Indian business and could file draft documents as early as this month. The listing could raise up to 700 million dollars, Bloomberg News reports, citing sources. The stock rose 1.2 percent.
Magnora Data Center shares began trading today, June 8, on the Oslo Stock Exchange. The stock trades under the ticker MDATA and is rising in its market debut. Magnora Data Center is an operator and developer of data centers with a presence in Norway, Sweden, and Finland. The company was previously wholly owned by the Norwegian listed company Magnora. At 4:20 p.m., the last price paid was NOK 14.80, representing an increase compared to the subscription price of NOK 13.
