Microsoft announced on Monday that it has partnered with Thrive Global to launch a wellness app for all of its employees worldwide, with the goal of further integrating health and personal development into its corporate culture and the daily routine of its employees.
Under the agreement, the Thrive Global platform, integrated into the Microsoft Teams collaborative space, will provide daily, personalized access to wellness tools and benefits, including 'Microsteps' to build better lifestyle habits, 'Thrive Resets' to reduce stress in 60 seconds, 'Wellbeing Score' to assess one's health and define a personalized progress plan, and a library of content to deepen one's knowledge.
Thrive Global's methodology is based on scientific research that has shown that five daily parameters—nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress management, and social connections—are the most powerful levers for improving health in the long term.
Microsoft emphasizes that this approach is perfectly aligned with its goal of supporting the well-being of its employees in all aspects of their lives: physical, mental, emotional, and financial.
Founded in 2016 by entrepreneur Arianna Huffington, who also created the Huffington Post media outlet, Thrive Global—which aims to increase business productivity by improving employee health—already has more than 200 client organizations in over 160 countries.
