Piazza Affari follows Europe at the open, starting slightly higher after several macroeconomic indicators confirmed the resilience of the Old Continent's economy.

At 9:25 a.m., the FTSE Mib index is up 0.28%.

Among individual stocks, UNICREDIT rises 1.25% after describing recent rumors of interest in Delfin's stake in BANCA MPS (-0.35%) as "speculative and unjustified."

ENI is among the worst performers in the main basket, weighed down by weaker crude prices after U.S. President Donald Trump cooled expectations of military intervention against Iran.

PRYSMIAN stands out (+3%) after Citigroup raised its target price to 102 euros from 91. On the other hand, BFF is under pressure following Kepler Cheuvreux's downgrade to 'Hold' from 'Buy'.

TECHNOPROBE sees strong buying interest (+4.19%), while BANCA IFIS is being sold off (-1.17%).
