"Once the budget has been passed, we will approve projects that are ready for construction next week," the CDU politician assured during the budget deliberations in the Bundestag. This is "an important signal" for both the construction industry and the citizens affected.
On Friday, parliament will vote on the federal budget for the coming year. At the beginning of the deliberations, the Ministry of Transport had warned of financial shortfalls amounting to billions in the coming years. As a result, the leaders of the black-red coalition decided at the beginning of October that all construction-ready transport projects would also be built.
