Speaking during a conference call with analysts following the release of the bank's results, Lovaglio stated that the Generali holding remains a useful, though non-essential, asset that provides a diversified revenue stream and operational flexibility for potential partnerships.
When questioned about possible exit strategies, Lovaglio noted that his focus on the integration process with Mediobanca has left little room to assess the matter. Consequently, he was unable to specify under what circumstances it would be 'logical or convenient' for MPS to sell the stake.
