On April 7, 2026, National Legal and Policy Center submitted a shareholder proposal to The Home Depot, Inc requesting the Board of Directors commission and publish, by March 31, 2027, at reasonable cost and omitting proprietary information, a report evaluating Home Depot?s recycling-related plastics targets. Ideally the report would present a science-based and economically rigorous analysis comparing these targets to retaining the use of virgin plastics where they remain the most practical, safe, and cost-effective solution.
