FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) - Shares of Auto1 temporarily fell by more than 3.5 percent on Thursday morning, making them the weakest performer in the MDax. As the session progressed, the car dealer's shares significantly pared their losses. Initially, sentiment was dampened by a plunge in the shares of French industry peer Aramis, which dropped by as much as 14.5 percent to their lowest level since August 2024.

The company, which primarily operates in France, had released its financial results and slightly lowered its expectations for 2026. According to its outlook, growth will not be as rapid as previously hoped. In addition to the current economic environment, Aramis is also being affected by the political situation in France.
