Danish pharmaceutical giant Novo Nordisk has invested several billion Czech koruna in a facility in the Czech Republic dedicated to manufacturing ingredients for a new generation of diabetes and obesity treatments, CTK reports.

The site is set to be inaugurated on June 12 in the presence of Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis and Novo Nordisk executive Mike Doustdar.

The plant previously produced components for Novavax's Covid vaccine and Baxter's swine flu vaccine. Novo Nordisk acquired the facility from Novavax in 2024 for 200 million dollars.
