ZUG (dpa-AFX) - Germany's second and third-tier stock indices are set for numerous changes this December. New market entrants Aumovio and TKMS will join the MDax, while Gerresheimer and Hellofresh are set to move down to the SDax small-cap index. This was announced late Wednesday evening by Stoxx, the index provider owned by Deutsche Borse. According to the release, there will be no changes to the Dax.
Alongside pharmaceutical packaging producer Gerresheimer and meal kit provider Hellofresh, the SDax will also include prosthetics manufacturer Ottobock, toy company Tonies, biofuel producer Verbio, and PSI Software starting December 22.
Leaving the SDax will be LPKF, Stratec, Thyssenkrupp Nucera, Formycon, Procredit, and Amadeus Fire.
Index changes are particularly significant for funds that physically replicate indices (physically replicating ETFs). These funds must adjust their holdings and weightings accordingly, which can impact share prices./mis/tih
