Shares of Nurix Therapeutics jumped nearly 50% in premarket trading Monday after the clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company said it would collaborate with Swiss drugmaker Roche in a deal potentially worth up to $2.3 billion.
Nurix said it will receive an upfront cash payment of $700 million as part of plans by the companies to develop the drug candidate bexobrutideg across malignant hematology, immunology and neurology.
The Brisbane, Calif., company said development, regulatory and sales milestones could bring potential total payments to $2.3 billion.
Nurix shares, which closed Friday at $14.64, were recently up 47% to $21.48 in premarket trading.
