(Alliance News) - Omer Spa announced on Wednesday that it has begun operations to fulfill a new order from the Alstom group to supply fairings for Avelia Stream high-speed trains, which Alstom will supply to a leading Italian operator.

The order is for the supply of fairings for 12 trains, with an option for a further 18 trains. Deliveries will begin in the fourth quarter of this year and will be completed by the end of 2027, with the bulk of the work taking place in 2026 and 2027.

The value of the order will contribute to the company's backlog by between 8% and 12% of the backlog value, which, as of September 30, amounted to EUR163 million.

Giuseppe Russello, President and CEO of Omer, commented: "The start of this new contract confirms the confidence that leading international customers continue to place in Omer. This assignment consolidates our presence in the European railway market and our role as a key partner in the supply of high-quality fairings, toilet modules, and interiors for high-speed trains."

"Looking to the near future, we intend to continue investing in skills, technologies, and production capacity so that we can offer increasingly advanced solutions, responding promptly and reliably to the changing needs of the market."
