0123 GMT - Copper falls in Asian trade, with the three-month contract on the London Metal Exchange dropping 0.4% to $13,249.50 a metric ton. Chinese buyers have remained on the sidelines after returning from a weeklong Lunar New Year holiday, ANZ Research analysts say in a note. The build-up of copper inventories in China was also greater than usual during the holiday period, they add. This comes as stockpiles in global exchanges rose to a record high in late January, supported by changes in U.S. trade policy and mine disruptions, they add. (megan.cheah@wsj.com)
