Orrön Energy and former Lundin executives Ian Lundin and Alex Schneiter are demanding a total of SEK 818 million in legal cost reimbursements from the Swedish state should they be acquitted in the high-profile trial concerning suspected war crimes in Sudan, Dagens industri reports.

The company's defense, led by attorney Björn Riese, is seeking over SEK 305 million in compensation, the majority of which relates to legal fees. Approximately SEK 10 million pertains to out-of-pocket expenses. Ian Lundin's defense is requesting a total of SEK 267 million, while Alex Schneiter's defense is claiming SEK 246 million.

Lundin previously served as chairman and Schneiter as CEO of Lundin Oil, now known as Orrön Energy. The duo stands accused of aiding and abetting grave war crimes in South Sudan between 1999 and 2003. The case against the two has been ongoing since 2010.

A verdict in the case is expected on December 3.
