Peab has been awarded a contract worth 3 billion kronor by Fortifikationsverket, according to the trade publication Byggindustrin.

Last Friday marked the conclusion of a major procurement process within Fortifikationsverket, with Peab emerging as the winner. This is revealed in the evaluation report for the tender, which Byggindustrin has reviewed. The tender in question concerns the Development of Part of Airport Areas, which was announced last autumn.

The project is centered on the Uppsala garrison, home to the Uppland Air Wing F 16. The initiative is tied to the upcoming deployment of the new S 106m air system, known as Global Eye, which is the designation used by defense company Saab.

At the time of writing, a ten-day contract standstill period remains in effect. Byggindustrin has reached out to Peab for comment.
