(Alliance News) - Pirelli Spa announced on Monday that shareholders China National Tire & Rubber Corporation, Ltd. and Marco Polo International Italy Srl have filed two separate appeals with identical content before the Regional Administrative Court (TAR) for Lazio against, among others, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, and other ministries.

The shareholders are seeking the annulment of the Prime Minister's Golden Power decree dated April 10, which imposed conditions and requirements regarding their shareholding in Pirelli's share capital.

Pirelli specified that the shareholders' meeting scheduled for June 25 will proceed as planned, with the agenda including the renewal of the board of directors based on the lists submitted by shareholders in compliance with the Golden Power decree.

'Pirelli nevertheless reserves the right to intervene in the aforementioned proceedings to protect its legal and economic position in the interest of the company itself and all its shareholders and, where necessary, before all competent jurisdictional authorities', the statement read.
