According to a statement, the Istituto Poligrafico has acquired the controlling 51% stake in the company that manages the digital payments platform for public administrations, while Poste has taken the remaining 49%.
The price paid for the acquisition of the stakes consists of a fixed component as well as certain deferred and variable elements.
"The acquisition of PagoPA represents a strategic investment for Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato, with the aim of making the management of public digital services more efficient and streamlined, from identity to payments, and of developing the IT-Wallet System," the statement emphasized.
