The PriorNilsson Småbolag A fund rose 6.78 percent in May, outperforming its benchmark index which gained 3.83 percent. Since the turn of the year, the fund has returned 8.62 percent, significantly ahead of the index which has declined 1.08 percent, according to the monthly report.

The primary positive contributors were Inission, Karnell, Ambea, and Attendo. The largest negative contributions came from General Oceans and Enity Holding.

During the month, the fund increased its holdings in Inission and Enity. New positions were also initiated in Sinch, Octave, and NCAB.

Concurrently, the holding in Medicover was divested, and the position in Bravida was reduced.

The manager notes that NCAB is benefiting from the current shortage in the PCB market. Octave was added to the portfolio following its spin-off from Hexagon.

According to the manager, the small-cap market is characterized by heightened activity, with several initial public offerings (IPOs) currently in the pipeline.

At month-end, the fund's largest holdings were Mycronic, Bure Equity, and Ambea, with weightings of 9.6, 7.2, and 5.8 percent, respectively.
