The Stockholm Stock Exchange is pulling back on Monday as tensions in the Middle East flare up once again.

Over the weekend, the U.S. boarded an Iranian-flagged oil tanker, and Iran is demanding the lifting of the blockade against the country as an absolute condition for reopening the Strait of Hormuz. The current ceasefire is set to expire on Wednesday. The market is also awaiting clarity on whether new peace talks will take place in Pakistan.

At around 12:50 PM, the OMXS30 index was down 0.99 percent at 3,150.71. Shares worth approximately 7.5 billion kronor had changed hands on the Stockholm bourse.

Among the major industrial sectors, energy performed best with a 5.2 percent gain. At the other end of the scale, basic materials lagged, falling 1.6 percent.

Among the leading stocks included in the OMXS30 index, Nibe B rose 1.9 percent while Ericsson B was up 1.6 percent. Boliden saw the weakest performance, dropping 2.5 percent, while Skanska B declined 2.2 percent.

Data storage company Proact is climbing 14 percent following a positive profit alert. The company indicated that its results for the first quarter of 2026 will be significantly better than expected. Preliminary adjusted EBITA amounts to 110-120 million kronor, compared to 79 million kronor in the corresponding quarter last year. This represents an EBITA margin of 9.0-9.5 percent, up from 6.5 percent a year ago.

Financial firm Maha Capital intends to evaluate a potential spin-off of its oil and gas operations to shareholders. A split could result in two independent companies with different operational focuses, capital allocations, and investor profiles. The stock is up 7.3 percent.

Electronic shelf label company Pricer has signed an agreement with the Canadian grocery chain Sobeys. The deal is estimated to be worth 51 million U.S. dollars. The stock is surging 25 percent.

Oil company IPC is climbing 5.6 percent, supported by rising oil prices. Brent crude is up about 5 percent today.

Technology firm Sivers Semiconductors is rising 20 percent on high trading volume.

Board game company Asmodee is up 1.6 percent following a buy recommendation from Dagens Industri, which sees a 30 percent potential in the stock.

Atlas Copco A is down 0.7 percent. Rothschild & Co Redburn raised its rating to buy from neutral.

RBC has downgraded its rating for SKF to sector perform from outperform. The stock is down 1.6 percent.

Goldman Sachs has upgraded its recommendation for Verisure to buy from neutral, while the rating for Loomis was lowered to neutral from buy. Verisure is up 1.5 percent while Loomis is falling 4.7 percent.

JP Morgan has downgraded its rating for Essity to underweight from neutral. The stock is losing 1 percent.
