The Rausing family has emerged as the third-largest shareholder in private equity firm EQT via the Singapore-based company Winder. The holding is valued at nearly 17 billion kronor, making the family one of the company's largest owners alongside Chairman Jean Eric Salata and Investor AB.

Finn Rausing told EFN that Winder has been a shareholder in EQT since its IPO in 2019 and that they maintain great confidence in the firm. "We always have," said Rausing, who declined to comment on whether they intend to further increase their stake in EQT.

"You know as well as I do that the next threshold is 10 percent. That is a very long way off, if we ever get there," he told EFN.

The news of the Rausing share purchase saw EQT's stock swing from a 1 percent decline to a 2.1 percent gain.

Siblings Finn, Jörn, and Kirsten Rausing are among Sweden's wealthiest individuals, with a combined fortune of 109 billion kronor, according to Affärsvärlden's annual billionaire ranking released earlier this week.
