Robert "Bobby" O'Brien Appointed Head Chef for Popeyes

Miami, FL - Dec. 19, 2025 -Burger King® and Popeyes® have each announced a new Head Chef - promoting existing top talent within Restaurant Brands International (RBI).

Amy Alarcon has been appointed Head Chef for Burger King, U.S. & Canada, following 18 years as a culinary leader and Head Chef at Popeyes. Amy previously led Popeyes' success in shaping the brand's culinary identity and driving category-defining menu innovation, including the iconic Popeyes Chicken Sandwich.

In her new role, Chef Amy will lead the Burger King culinary strategy, including menu innovation, product development, and quality standards across the brand. She will report to Joel Yashinsky, Chief Marketing Officer at Burger King, strengthening the connection between culinary innovation, brand strategy, and long-term growth priorities.

Robert (Bobby) O'Brien has been appointed Head Chef for Popeyes, U.S. & Canada, following 17 years as a culinary leader within Popeyes. Working directly under Chef Amy, Chef Bobby was instrumental in shaping the brands' menu strategy, elevating product quality, and ensuring the brand's Louisiana flavors and culinary traditions remain front and center.
