Over the weekend, the US boarded an Iranian-flagged oil tanker, and Iran demanded the lifting of the blockade against the country as an absolute condition for opening the Strait of Hormuz. The current ceasefire expires on Wednesday. On Monday afternoon, reports emerged pointing toward new peace talks. Meanwhile, Donald Trump stated that it is highly unlikely the ceasefire with Iran will be extended if no agreement has been reached with Iran before the deadline expires.
At the close, the OMXS30 index was down 0.91 percent to 3,153.12. Shares worth approximately SEK 22.9 billion were traded on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
The best performance among the exchange's major industrial sectors was energy, with a rise of 3.7 percent. At the other end of the scale, real estate sat at the bottom, down 1.8 percent.
Among the leading shares included in the OMXS30 index, Ericsson B rose 2.5 percent while Nibe B was up 2.2 percent. The weakest performance came from Evolution, down 2.5 percent, while EQT fell 2.2 percent.
Data storage company Proact rose over 15 percent following a reverse profit warning. The company signaled that results for the first quarter of 2026 will be significantly better than expected. Financial firm Maha Capital intends to evaluate a possible spin-off of its oil and gas operations to shareholders. A split could result in two independent companies with different operational focuses, capital allocations, and investor profiles. The stock increased by over 6 percent.
Price labeling company Pricer signed an agreement with the Canadian grocery chain Sobeys. The deal is estimated to be worth USD 51 million. The stock rose nearly 20 percent.

Goldman Sachs raised its recommendation for Verisure to buy from neutral, while the rating for Loomis was lowered to neutral from buy. Verisure increased 2.8 percent while Loomis fell 5 percent.
JP Morgan lowered its rating for Essity to underweight from neutral. The stock lost 1.5 percent.
