Discount retailer Rusta reports increased revenue and improved earnings for the fourth quarter of the broken fiscal year 2025/26. The company proposes a dividend hike.
Rusta states that net sales excluding currency effects increased by 5.8 percent, while comparable sales excluding currency effects rose by 2.1 percent. Total revenue amounted to SEK 2,679 million (2,553).
Operating profit, EBITA, improved to SEK 0 million from SEK -15 million the previous year.
Net profit amounted to SEK -61 million, compared to SEK -69 million for the corresponding period last year.
A dividend of SEK 1.80 per share is proposed (1.45).
CEO Cathrine Wigzell describes the quarter as stable with growth across all segments despite strong comparative figures. The number of customers and the average ticket increased, while profitability was bolstered by a favorable product mix and positive currency effects. The company opened eight new stores during the quarter.
At the end of the fiscal year, Rusta had a net cash position of SEK 160 million. The company reiterates its previously communicated target of opening 65-80 new stores during the 2026/27-2028/29 period. No new financial guidance was provided.
