The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite index finished 1.23 percent higher at 23,183.74. After the Swedish market close, the Nasdaq Composite gained roughly 0.9 percentage points.

In futures trading today, the S&P 500 contract is up 0.04 percent, while Nasdaq 100 futures are trading 0.18 percent higher.
