Defense contractor Saab has entered into a strategic cooperation agreement for naval systems with the Polish defense group PGZ Group, according to a press release. The parties will collaborate on maintenance and life-cycle support for surface vessels and submarines, while integrating PGZ's naval operations into Saab's supply chain.
They will also evaluate export opportunities for surface and underwater platforms, including rescue vehicles, and establish a future center for underwater technology in Poland.
'This demonstrates the strong commitment to a deepened partnership between Polish and Swedish industry, contributing to increased security in the Baltic Sea as well as on NATO's eastern flank', says Saab CEO Micael Johansson.
SAAB AB is a world leader in the design, manufacturing and marketing of defense and security systems and equipment for military, space and civil sectors. Net sales break down by family of products and services as follows:
- electronic defense systems (33.4%): radars, sensors, submarine and terrestrial airborne surveillance systems;
