Sartorius Stedim Biotech Improves Core EBITDA Margin in 2025
Sartorius Stedim Biotech has released preliminary adjusted net profit figures for 2025, showing a 26.7% increase to €428 million (MEUR), along with a 17.3% rise in adjusted EBITDA to €914 million, representing a 2.8-point improvement in margin to 30.8%.
At €2.97 billion, the pharmaceutical industry supplier's revenue grew by 6.7% overall and by 9.6% at constant exchange rates, with all regions contributing to this increase.
"2025 was a very successful year for Sartorius Stedim Biotech. We are continuing on a growth trajectory with strong profitability," commented René Fáber, the company's Chief Executive Officer.
He highlighted the "excellent performance" of the high-margin recurring business in consumables for biopharmaceutical production, which accounts for the vast majority of revenue.
"As expected, equipment-related business remained weak, but showed encouraging signs of stabilization over the year. That's why we look to 2026 with optimism and confidence," he added.
For 2026, Sartorius Stedim Biotech expects its revenue to increase by approximately 6 to 10% at constant exchange rates. Its adjusted EBITDA margin is projected to rise to just over 31%, driven by volume and scale effects.
