SB1 Markets has initiated coverage of industrial giant Atlas Copco with a Neutral recommendation and a price target of SEK 190, implying a 5 percent upside, according to a research note.

The analysis highlights that while short-term order intake risks for Vacuum Technique are tilted to the upside, the outlook for the other three business areas remains subdued. The Compressor, Industrial, and Power segments share a common exposure to broad-based industrial growth trends.

Although Vacuum Technique is expected to outperform moving forward, this is not deemed sufficient to drive the share price higher.

'Given Atlas Copco's strong position in the field, we expect Vacuum Technique to deliver clear growth in orders, revenue, and margins during 2026-2027. The central question is whether this is enough to drive share price outperformance. We are not convinced', SB1 writes.

The assessment suggests that while a recovery in Vacuum Technique could support earnings momentum, it may not be enough to alter the investment case.

Regarding forecasts, SB1 Markets' estimates for 2026-2027 are in line with consensus.

The analysts further note that despite a significantly weaker earnings revision trend, the company is trading at a premium both to its own historical average and to its Nordic industrial peers and global competitors.
