Puan Norlida commenced her career with Hewlett Packard Sales (M) Sdn Bhd in 1985 as an accountant.
She then joined Citibank Berhad in 1988 as a Financial Control Officer and promoted as Regional Marketing Director. In 2000, she joined Standard Chartered Bank, Singapore as a Project Manager in Credit Reengineering and was transferred to the role of Executive Assistant, Group Executive Director, Risk, Legal and Compliance in Standard Chartered Bank, London before she left in 2005. She then joined Khalda Est.
Group and was seconded to Samba Financial Group in Saudi Arabia as Head of Strategic Planning. In 2006, she joined Commercial Bank Group, Qatar, as the Head of Human Resources in 2006 and was promoted to Group Chief of Staff before she left in 2009. She then joined Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank as the Senior Vice President and Head of Business Development and Strategy and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer before she left in 2012.
She joined Heidrick & Struggles in Dubai as a Partner until 2013. She returned to Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank as Global Head of Talent Management and was promoted to Head of Special Projects before she left in 2014. She subsequently joined UEM Group Berhad as the Group Chief Human Capital Office until 2019, HSBC Bank Malaysia Berhad as the Country Head of Human Resources, Permodalan Nasional Berhad as Chief People and Culture Officer, and joined Axiata Group Berhad as the Group Chief People Officer in 2020 and left in 2024.
