(Alliance News) - Seco Spa announced that Seco USA Inc. and Boeing have received project certification for the Deck Control Device of the MQ-25A Stingray, an unmanned aerial refueling platform designed for U.S. Navy aircraft carriers.
This milestone marks the full delivery and acceptance of the system, following the demonstration of remote-controlled embarkation operations announced in October 2021, as part of a decades-long collaboration with Boeing.
Seco designed and integrated the rugged operator handle, the arm-mounted display unit, the wearable processing unit, and the military-grade radio system, meeting the environmental requirements, human factors, and electromagnetic constraints necessary for use on aircraft carrier flight decks.
The validation and acceptance of the system by Boeing and the U.S. Navy concluded with the final approval of the DCD package.
