(Alliance News) - Seco Spa presented its integrated Edge AI platform strategy in Nuremberg during embedded world 2026, showcasing its broadest technological portfolio developed to date.
The company detailed new hardware platforms, software functionalities, and live demonstrations designed to support the industrial transformation toward intelligent, connected, and service-oriented products.
The offering is built upon collaborations with several key technology partners.
In partnership with Qualcomm, SECO introduced new solutions based on Dragonwing, including the SOM-COMe-CT6-Dragonwing-IQ-X module and future SMARC and COM-HPC platforms. These are designed for industrial automation, computer vision, and robotics applications, featuring real-time, cloud-independent AI processing capabilities.
The partnership with Intel has led to the development of platforms based on Intel Core Ultra Series 3 and Intel Atom processors, led by the SOM-COMe-BT6-PTL. A demonstration created with Reply showcases software-defined automation and edge-native intelligence applications for modernizing legacy industrial assets.
Regarding the NXP ecosystem, Seco presented the Modular Vision 10.1 MX95 and SOM-SMARC-MX95 platforms. Based on i.MX95 processors, these are designed for embedded and HMI applications with advanced cybersecurity features and long-term support for mission-critical systems.
The portfolio also includes new Edge AI solutions developed with MediaTek, such as the SOM-Trizeps-X-Genio360 and Modular Vision Genio700 HMI modules, targeting medical, industrial, and mobile applications.
A central element of the strategy is the Clea software framework, which serves as a unified AI-IoT layer for secure device fleet management, OTA updates, data orchestration, and scalable AI application deployment.
The offering further includes a cybersecurity framework to protect connected devices throughout their entire lifecycle and a Smart Vending solution integrating Clea Vend and the KarL4 contactless payment terminal, already widespread in Germany and now expanding into Italy and the USA.
According to CEO Massimo Mauri, "This year at embedded world, Seco demonstrates the depth and maturity of a comprehensive platform strategy from Edge to AI," emphasizing how collaboration with technology partners and the growing adoption of Clea allow customers to transform their products into intelligent, connected solutions.
Seco shares rose 4.6% to EUR2.755 per share.
