SLB and Qualcomm Technologies will partner to develop edge artificial-intelligence solutions for the energy industry.
The companies on Tuesday said their collaboration will attempt to meet demand from energy operators for agentic AI systems in their operations. Qualcomm, a semiconductor maker, will supply edge computing and AI processing capabilities, and energy technology company SLB will use its Agora edge AI and Internet of Things solutions.
"Together, SLB and Qualcomm Technologies aim to help operators apply AI more effectively across energy infrastructure," said Rakesh Jaggi, SLB's president of digital. "AI systems designed around the realities of energy operations can help support more consistent and autonomous workflows across those environments."
