Standard Chartered PLC announced the appointment of Edward McBride as Global Head, Consumer & Retail, M&A Advisory, effective June 9, 2026. Edward was based in London and reported to Rajesh Singhi, Global Head, M&A Advisory. Edward joined Standard Chartered from Deutsche Bank in London, where he led coverage of large, UK-based consumer, retail, leisure and lodging corporates and sponsor clients.

Prior to that, he held senior roles at Citi and private equity firm PAI Partners. Edward had over 25 years of experience in investment banking. In his new role, Edward will help drive the growth of Standard Chartered's global consumer and retail advisory franchise, deepening client relationships and enhancing the Bank's ability to deliver complex, cross-border transactions across its global network.

His appointment reflects the Bank's continued investments in strengthening sector-led advisory expertise in its key markets.
