Stellantis announced on Tuesday a partnership with Estonian shared mobility company Bolt to jointly develop and deploy Level 4 autonomous vehicles (driverless) for their commercial operations in Europe.

According to a statement from the Franco-Italian automaker, trials will begin in selected European countries starting in 2026, with an initial production target set for 2029.

For Bolt, this partnership marks a new milestone in its ambition to have 100,000 autonomous vehicles on its shared mobility platform by 2035.

In October, Stellantis had also announced a partnership in the robotaxi sector with American tech giant Nvidia, ride-hailing company Uber Technologies, and Taiwanese electronics group Foxconn.
