(Alliance News) - Stellantis NV has selected Toyota Motor Corp and Bosch as suppliers for the hybrid technologies of its new Jeep models, according to a report by CNBC on Tuesday.
Indeed, according to media sources, the first Jeep hybrid SUV destined for the North American market, the Cherokee, is equipped with a Toyota system, while its upcoming extended-range electric vehicles, or EREVs, utilize key technologies from Bosch, the world's largest automotive supplier.
"The electrification trend is fairly flat. Hybrid trends are growing strongly," Richard Cox, senior vice president of Jeep brand operations, told CNBC during a recent press event for the 2026 Cherokee.
"So, I think it was a great step in the right direction," he concluded.
Stellantis shares are up 2.4% at EUR6.13 per share.
