Euro Stoxx 50 futures are flat, FTSE 100 futures are up 0.30 percent, and DAX futures are down 0.09 percent.
Developments in the Iran conflict remain the primary focus after Iran's overnight response to the U.S. Donald Trump has sharply criticized the response to the American peace proposal. 'I have just read the response from Iran's so-called representatives. I do not like it. It is completely unacceptable', Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Over the weekend, China released trade data showing a higher-than-expected export increase of 14.1 percent in April, compared to market expectations of an 8.4 percent rise. The statistics also revealed that oil imports plummeted 20 percent following the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
Furthermore, inflation is rising in China. Consumer prices increased more than expected at an annual rate of 1.2 percent in April, against an anticipated 0.9 percent. Producer prices also exceeded expectations, rising 2.8 percent versus the 1.8 percent forecast.
Sleep Cycle shares may see activity today after private equity firm Altor, through the vehicle Snark Bidco, launched a cash bid of 24.5 kronor per share. The offer represents a 47 percent premium over Friday's closing price. The deal is valued at approximately 497 million kronor.
Among the morning's earnings reports, education company Academedia increased both revenue and operating profit in the third quarter of its broken fiscal year compared to the same period last year. Adjusted operating profit rose to 430 million kronor from 377 million.
In other news, aluminum profile company Profilgruppen has appointed Per Thorsell as the new CEO, effective May 18. Thorsell returns to the company having previously served as CEO between 2014 and 2019.
Research firm Dicot Pharma has resolved on a rights issue of units of approximately 210 million kronor before transaction costs, which is approximately 80 percent guaranteed.
In the analyst flow, Handelsbanken has upgraded Balder to Buy (Hold), with a maintained target price of 73 kronor;

Dagens Industri issues a Buy recommendation for Systemair.
