The Stockholm Stock Exchange is rising at midday on Wednesday, once again hitting new record highs for the OMXS30 index. The earnings season is drawing to a close, and among today's reports, SBB received a negative reception while Nibe was hit hard by a change in German legislation.
By 1 p.m., the OMXS30 index was up 0.54 percent at 3,208.23. Shares worth approximately 7.6 billion kronor were traded on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
The best-performing major industrial sector on the exchange was raw materials, up 1.1 percent. At the other end, energy was the laggard, down 1.0 percent.
Among the leading stocks included in the OMXS30 index, Evolution rose 2.9 percent while Boliden was up 2.7 percent. The worst performer was Nibe B, down 12.9 percent, while Saab B fell 1.1 percent.
Heating technology company Nibe's shares plummeted after Germany's ruling parties agreed to scrap key parts of the controversial heating law introduced in 2023 and once again allow the installation of oil and gas boilers. This was reported by Reuters.
