The Stockholm Stock Exchange is expected to start Thursday in negative territory. The focus is on developments in the Middle East, where new attacks occurred overnight in Iran. Later today, attention will turn to the US and key inflation data.

Euro Stoxx 50 futures are down 0.76 percent, FTSE 100 futures are retreating 0.58 percent, and DAX futures are falling 0.59 percent. Futures were trading even lower earlier this morning.

Brent crude has turned upward again, rising nearly 3 percent after the US military carried out new strikes against targets in Iran overnight, according to a US source reported by CNN. The target was reportedly a facility near the Strait of Hormuz that was deemed a threat to US forces and commercial shipping. Separately, Kuwait activated its air defenses on Thursday following what the country described as hostile missile and drone threats.

Medical technology company Elekta reported lower-than-expected sales for the fourth quarter of 2025/2026, while adjusted EBIT came in higher than consensus at 902 million SEK, compared to the expected 811 million. The board proposes an unchanged dividend of 2.40 SEK per share. For the full year 2026/2027, Elekta expects net sales in constant currencies to increase compared to the previous year, with a further improvement in the EBIT margin.

The Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (FI) has issued a warning and a fine of 90 million SEK to Norion Bank for deficiencies in its anti-money laundering efforts. The review covers the period from April 30, 2022, to May 1, 2023, and concerns the bank's handling of corporate customers with a high risk of money laundering and terrorist financing.

Furthermore, Sweco has secured an order in Norway worth 140 million SEK. Instalco has also received an order in the same country worth 46 million NOK.

In the analyst flow, it is noted that SB1 Markets has initiated coverage on Atlas Copco with a neutral rating and a target price of 190 SEK.

Barclays upgrades Boliden to overweight (from equal weight) with a target price of 650 SEK.
