The Stockholm Stock Exchange has, as expected, opened lower on Friday, tracking the downward trend in international markets.

The spotlight is once again on Donald Trump, who has given the EU a deadline of July 4 to lower tariffs in accordance with the trade agreement reached last year. Otherwise, he threatens to significantly increase duties. Reports also emerged that Iran and the US carried out mutual attacks in the Strait of Hormuz yesterday.

At around 09:25, the OMXS30 index was down 1.09 percent at 3,077.53. Adjusted for dividends, the OMXS30 index fell 0.97 percent. Shares worth approximately SEK 1.7 billion were traded on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.

Among the major industrial sectors, energy performed best with a 1.6 percent gain. At the other end of the spectrum, technology lagged at the bottom, down 1.3 percent.

Among the leading shares included in the OMXS30 index, Tele 2 B rose 0.1 percent, while Ericsson B fell 0.1 percent. The weakest performers were Addtech B, down 2.1 percent, and Industrivärden C, which also dropped 2.1 percent.

The reporting season has been somewhat quieter on Friday morning. Real estate company Balder reported a 3 percent increase in adjusted income from property management for the first quarter. The stock is down 1.5 percent.

Optical retail chain Synsam beat market expectations for EBITDA, while sales were in line with forecasts. EBITDA came in at SEK 400 million against an expected 393 million. Organic sales growth stood at 5.6 percent. The stock fell 2.6 percent.

Diamond mining company Lucara Diamond's revenue fell in Q1. The company reiterated its full-year outlook, meaning revenue is still expected to be between USD 100 and 130 million. The stock is down 0.9 percent.

Industrial technology company Karnell's organic growth amounted to 13.1 percent in Q1. EBITDA increased by nearly 50 percent to SEK 87.4 million. The stock is up 18 percent.

Automotive safety company Autoliv will gradually phase out its manufacturing operations in Turkey as part of the company's strategy to align production capacity with future market needs in the EMEA region. As a result, the company is taking a one-time charge of USD 142 million. The stock was down 0.2 percent.

Home improvement chain Clas Ohlson released sales figures for April showing an organic increase of 9 percent to SEK 929 million. The stock is up 3.7 percent.

Research company Bioarctic announced that the US FDA has extended the review of Leqembi Iqlik as a starting dose for the treatment of early Alzheimer's disease. The new PDUFA date is August 24, compared to the previous target for a decision in May. The stock is losing 4.5 percent.

On the analyst front, Kepler Cheuvreux has upgraded Hufvudstaden to buy from hold. The stock is up 1.1 percent.

Kepler Cheuvreux also upgraded FM Mattsson to buy from hold. The stock is down 1.2 percent.
