The Stockholm Stock Exchange is rallying in early Wednesday trading, mirroring a broader upswing across leading European markets.

The gains follow comments from U.S. President Donald Trump suggesting a potential U.S. exit from Iran within 2-3 weeks. Trump is scheduled to deliver a national address tonight (Swedish time).

As of 09:20 CET, the blue-chip OMXS30 index was up 2.36 percent at 2,998.49. Adjusted for dividends, the index rose 2.48 percent. Turnover on the Stockholm bourse amounted to approximately 2.7 billion kronor. Ericsson and Skanska are trading ex-dividend today.

Basic resources led the major industrial sectors with a 3.2 percent gain. Conversely, the energy sector lagged, dropping 5.6 percent.

Among the OMXS30 constituents, Boliden surged 6.1 percent, while Atlas Copco A rose 3.6 percent. Telia underperformed with a 0.2 percent decline, while Tele 2 B edged up 0.3 percent.

Appliance maker Electrolux has decided to shutter its factory in Santiago, Chile, in April. The move follows a review of cost competitiveness and affects 400 employees. A restructuring charge of 500 million kronor will be booked against first-quarter 2026 operating income, of which 200 million kronor will impact cash flow. The stock is up 4.3 percent.

Security firm Securitas has divested Global Elite Group, part of its U.S. aviation operations, to an affiliate of HIG Capital. Global Elite Group is a U.S.-based provider of security services to airports and airlines with 1,800 employees. The business generated 2025 revenue of 100 million dollars, equivalent to 1 billion kronor. The shares are rising 2.3 percent.

Co-founder Erik Gatenholm has been proposed for a return to the board of biotech firm Bico at the upcoming annual general meeting. He previously stepped down from the board in 2024. Gatenholm remains the company's largest shareholder. The stock is gaining 2.8 percent.

Residential developer JM is selling a rental project in Sollentuna to Folksam for 580 million kronor. The stock is up 0.3 percent.

Real estate company Acrinova's board has revised its dividend proposal to 3.75 kronor per share, a significant hike from the previously proposed 0.50 kronor. The shares are climbing 7.6 percent.

On the analyst front, SEB has upgraded Thule to "hold" from "sell." The stock is up 3.5 percent.

Danske Bank has upgraded Ependion to "buy" from "hold," sending the shares up 5.1 percent. Nordea made a similar move for Beijer Alma, which is advancing 5.0 percent.
