The current demand is so high that it exceeds the available logistical capacities, the Kassel-based company announced on Monday in response to an inquiry. As a result, there may be shortages and longer delivery times. The three German salt mines in Borth, Bernburg, and Braunschweig-Lüneburg are operating around the clock. In addition, miners are working special shifts on weekends. However, it is still too early to make a forecast regarding the impact on first-quarter business figures. The top priority is ensuring supply security for customers, and K+S is doing everything possible to keep supply chains stable.
