The energy company Suntrade Group has announced that its battery storage facility in Marmaverken, located in the Soderhamn municipality, is now entering operation.

The facility features a capacity of 1 MW and 2 MWh of energy storage, designed to provide ancillary services and grid flexibility to the Swedish power network.

The plant is grid-connected and will become progressively operational and revenue-generating as various ancillary services are validated by Svenska kraftnat. According to the company, the facility is expected to generate approximately SEK 2m in annual revenue.
