Syngene International Limited announced the appointment of Mr. Abhijit Zutshi as Chief Commercial Officer and a member of the Executive Committee (Senior Management Personnel) of the Company, effective from May 1, 2026. Mr. Abhijit Zutshi is currently working as Chief Commercial Officer of Biocon Limited with overall responsibility for its Generics business Commercial operations. In his over two decades at Biocon, Abhijit has had successful stints in diverse roles across marketing, sales, business development and portfolio selection for both small molecules and biologics.
Prior to assuming his current role, Abhijit served as the Commercial Head of Global Generics Formulations and was instrumental in leading and growing the Formulations business across geographies since its inception. He was instrumental in setting up the commercial infrastructure in the U.S. for Biocon?s formulation business in the USA and was involved in the successful launch of the Company?s first generic formulation in the country in 2017. Abhijit had also previously headed Biocon?s North American operations where he was responsible for B2B sales, marketing, and business development of the Company?s entire portfolio of bulk drugs and biosimilars.
Before joining Biocon, Abhijit worked with Pfizer as a product specialist for their specialty products division. He has a bachelor?s degree in Pharmaceutical Science with a major in Pharmacology and a Diploma in Business Management. He also attended Harvard Business School?s Program for Leadership Development program.
Syngene International Limited announced the appointment of Ms. Maninder Singh Puri as Chief Human Resources Officer and a member of the Executive Committee (Senior Management Personnel) of the Company, effective from May 1, 2026. Maninder Kapoor Puri is currently serving as the Head of Human Resources for Generics Business and Biocon Academy. Maninder joined Biocon from Mastek Group where she was Global Chief Human Resources and Diversity Officer.
In her professional journey of over 25 years, she has held leadership positions with companies such as Accenture, iGATE (now part of Cap Gemini) and Firstsource Solutions (earlier known as ICICI Onesource). Maninder has been acknowledged as ?CHRO for the year 2022.? She has completed Masters in English Literature, followed by a CHRO degree from Wharton Business School.
