Leisure product company Thule ranks highest among all Swedish companies in Bloomberg's Activist Screening model, which identifies firms with an increased likelihood of attracting interest from activist investors.
Among previously top-ranked companies is Switzerland's SIG Group, where it was announced today that activist investor Cevian Capital has acquired a 3.1 percent ownership stake.
Historically, about 10 percent of the 20 highest-ranked companies on the list have become targets of activist initiatives within 12 months, roughly three times higher than the average for the index.
