(Alliance News) - TradeLab Spa announced on Friday that it has acquired the remaining 50% stake in OnTheMap Geomarketing from Telecom Italia Spa, thus becoming its sole owner.

OnTheMap Geomarketing is an advanced geomarketing platform developed in 2019 that integrates TradeLab's proprietary statistical models with the cloud and AI analytics expertise of TIM Enterprise, enabling analysis and geographic representation of economic and competitive data.

Following the sale, TIM Enterprise, as technology partner, will continue to support platform development and maintenance activities, as well as the collection and provision of data related to pedestrian flows in the geographic areas under analysis.

This transaction is part of TradeLab's strategic development plan and aims to increase the profitability of its platform-based business. It follows the acquisition of the business unit from Mare Group, which included the Obiettivo Europa and Marker Web platforms, and is intended to accelerate TradeLab's evolution towards a SaaS business model, characterized by greater scalability, recurring revenues, and higher margins.

Massimo Vigano, CEO of TradeLab, stated: "This investment allows us to accelerate the results of our industrial plan, to consolidate TradeLab's leadership in geomarketing, and at the same time to continue our transformation towards a scalable, technology-based business model, with an increased share of platform and SaaS revenues—consistent with what was stated at the IPO—with the support of TIM Enterprise's technological expertise, which will continue to be an outstanding partner."

TradeLab shares are up 1.1% at EUR3.70, while Telecom Italia shares are up 1.6% at EUR0.59 per share.
