June 16 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened higher on Tuesday, lifted by gains in mining shares, as U.S. President Donald Trump said at the G7 summit that Washington's deal with Iran was moving to the second stage.
At 9:30 a.m. ET, the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX Composite Index was up 0.1% at 35,340.13 points.
