June 12 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened higher on Friday as global risk appetite improved on hopes of a Middle East deal, with a Western source telling Reuters that a U.S.-Iran memorandum could be signed as early as Sunday.
At 9:30 a.m. ET, the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX Composite Index was up 0.2% at 34,745.46 points.
