DOHA/FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) - The final Tui Cruises passengers stranded in the Middle East following the conflict with Iran are on their way back to Germany. The remaining 180 passengers from the "Mein Schiff 5" are now on a flight to Frankfurt, a company spokesperson told the Deutsche Presse-Agentur.
The guests departed from Doha, the capital of Qatar, aboard a Qatar Airways Airbus A380 and are scheduled to land in Frankfurt am Main this evening around 6:35 PM. A portion of the crew is also on board. "This means we have now successfully disembarked all guests from the ships," the spokesperson said.
Passengers from the "Mein Schiff 4," which was also stationed in the region, were repatriated to Germany several days ago. Together, the two vessels have a capacity of over 5,000 passengers./kge/DP/jha
