May 28 (Reuters) - Tyson Foods on Thursday named Jeff Schomburger as its CEO, replacing longtime chief Donnie King, effective October 4.

Currently, Donnie D. King is Chief Operating Officer & Group President-Poultry at Tyson Foods, Inc. In the past Mr. King held the position of President-North American Operations at Tyson Foods, Inc. and Principal at Valmac Industries, Inc. (a subsidiary of Tyson Foods, Inc.) and Member of U.S. Poultry & Egg Association. Donnie D. King received an undergraduate degree from the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
