The board of directors of United Spirits Limited have approved the appointment of Mr. Chinmay Sharma as Chief HR Officer (SMP), who will be assuming office on 5 March 2026 in place of Ms. Shilpa Vaid, who will be taking up another role within the Diageo group effective 1 April 2026. Mr. Chinmay Sharma is a transformational HR leader with 20+ years of global experience across India, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Switzerland. He has held regional, country and global HR leadership roles at GSK, Philip Morris International (PMI), and Procter & Gamble, driving organisation-wide transformation, capability building and culture change.
His experience spans end-to-end HR roles, including serving as CHRO & EVP-HR for GSK India, leading People & Culture for PMI, and holding multiple HR roles at P&G. He has led HR for complex and diverse environments, including large, unionized organisations, and has shaped agile, collaborative and high-performance cultures. His professional journey demonstrates strengths in talent development, organisational effectiveness, leadership coaching and building high-performing teams. He has an MBA from SCMHRD and has completed a Human Resource Development Program from Cornell University.
